Client Portal — Replacing ScalePad for MSP Clients
Built for: Techfive

The Problem
Techfive needed a client portal that gave their customers real visibility into their managed IT environment — not the limited, cookie-cutter view ScalePad provides out of the box.
ScalePad is built for hardware lifecycle management and basic client reporting. It is fine for showing clients which devices are aging out, but it was never designed to be a full client portal. Ticket visibility is limited, asset detail is shallow beyond warranty data, and there is no real way to centralize communication, contracts, and billing in one place.
What We Built
We built a custom client portal that gives customers a single login to see everything that matters: open and resolved tickets, full device and asset inventory, contract details, invoices, and direct communication with their account team. It is fast, clean, and built around the MSP-client relationship rather than repurposed from a hardware lifecycle tool.
- Unified client view — tickets, assets, contracts, and invoices in a single dashboard
- Ticket management — submit, track, and communicate on tickets without leaving the portal
- Asset inventory — real-time view of all managed devices, well beyond warranty-focused data
- Contract & billing — current agreements, renewal dates, and invoice history at a glance
- Branded experience — a portal that feels like their own product, not a third-party tool
The Results
Techfive replaced ScalePad's limited client-facing features with a portal purpose-built for how MSPs actually interact with their customers. Clients get a faster, more complete experience. The support team stopped juggling between ScalePad and other systems. And the portal reflects how a managed services relationship actually works — ongoing partnership visibility, not just a hardware report.
